T&H Pet Policy

A critical decision that needs to be made when securing our Property Management services is whether or not to allow pets.

As a professional Property Management company, our experience shows that allowing pets definitely opens the property to a larger market.

Our general policy is to allow most pets, the exception being dogs that are deemed aggressive animals by the CDC. The  most aggressive breeds listed by the CDC, include:

  • Pit bulls
  • Rottweilers
  • Doberman Pinschers
  • German Shepherds
  • Malamutes
  • Husky-Types
  • Chow Chows
  • Akitas
  • Mastiffs
  • Wolf-Hybrids

Generally speaking, however, we feel that most pets are fine and that if the Tenant is responsible, there is very little to worry about.

Our general policy is to charge $25 per month for the first pet and $10 for additional pets. We require no additional deposit for pets, but do require all Tenants to have all carpets professionally cleaned upon move-out.

Important: Keep in mind that, in certain circumstances, you must allow pets if the Tenant provides certain documentation. This may occur in the cases of a Service Animal or an Emotional Support Animal.
