Fishers is a suburb just northeast of Indianapolis in Hamilton County. 

Originally settled by William Conner in 1802, Fishers only just transitioned from a town to a city in 2015 and has experienced rapid population growth decade to decade. Fishers Outline

As of 2017, the population was estimated to be around 91,832. 

According to City Data, the median household income as of 2017 was $113,560 with a median age of 35.3 and females making up a slight majority (52.1%) of the population. 

According to MLS data, the median home value for the last year was $276,313 and the median rent rate was $1,565.

Conclusion

Fishers, Indiana is a fantastic Indianapolis suburb. 

With the fantastic school district, incredibly low crime rates, and high quality tenant pool, it’s an extremely desirable location to own real estate. 

However, as you can see from the median home value, it’s a very pricey market to penetrate. 

This area is a long term appreciation play, with very little chance of any real cash flow. 

In areas like Fishers, we tend to see owner occupants who are moving out and don’t want to sell the property for whatever reason, so they turn it into a rental.
