HOME | PROPERTY MANAGEMENT | ABOUT US | CONTACT US | PRIVACY NOTICE | Get Pre-Approved for a Mortgage Loan Securing a pre-approval letter from a reputable lender will go a long way in proving to a Seller that you are serious. We have several lenders that we can recommend, including Mike Osterling with First Republic Mortgage. Determine Your Price Range After your pre-approval, you will have a good idea of how much home you can afford. More importantly, does your anticipated mortgage payment fit into your overall financial goals? What Amenities are "Must Haves?" A finished basement is nice, but is it absolutely necessary? How many bedrooms and baths you require. It's important to make a list of requirements prior to beginning your search. Begin Reviewing Homes Our Agents can set-up daily reports that provide you all the new listings on the market that meet your criteria. From there, we encourage you to drive by a number of homes and through a number of neighborhoods to ensure that we're providing you the correct data. With Your Agent, Take Guided Tours After you complete drive-bys of homes that meet your criteria, your Agent can arrange a private, guided tour of the properties that remain on your list. When walking through these homes, try and imagine living there. Does your current furniture work? Make An Offer! This is definitely one of the most exciting parts of the process and possibly the most nerve-racking. Your Agent will guide you through every step in making an offer. After the Offer is Accepted Once the offer is accepted, there is still a lot of work to do. You'll need to submit earnest money, have the property inspected, obtain homeowners insurance, arrange for movers and, finally, arrange for utilities to be transferred into your name. Closing Finally, the closing day will arrive. Be prepared to sign A LOT of paperwork for your lender. Again, your agent will guide you through the Settlement Statement to ensure you understand where you money is going. |
